First, an explanation: this is a journal of my trip around the world to write case studies on best practices in education as demonstrated by social entrepreneurs who are Ashoka Fellows (more information on the organization at www.ashoka.org ) The material on this walbran.org page will be my own personal observations about language, culture, and customs in the countries I'm going to visit over the next 8 months, which are: Poland, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, and Brazil.
